Don’t Break the Bank for a Coffee Break!
Isn’t it tempting to call in your local StarBucks or CostaCoffee to pick up a nice creamy latte on the way into work? Then perhaps you pop out at lunchtime, to get a drink and then of course, there is that afternoon dip, where you really need to give yourself a caffeine hit.
But have you stopped to consider just how much you may be spending on coffee during the week. If you buy 2 coffees at £3 total per day And that is a pretty conservative figure, that equates to £15 per week.
Think about saving £10 or £15 per week and how soon that could add up to a new pair of shoes or even, if you saved it for a year, a short city break: all on the basis of you saving money on spending coffee!
But just because you stop spending money on coffee doesn’t mean that you have to forego a little luxury. There are lots of little drinks sachets, hot chocolates etc that cost pennies to buy, but can make a really nice, luxurious drink. Yet if you cant live without caffeine, then you also can also get round those caffeine cravings, by taking in a flask of hot coffee, made just the way you like it and top up your caffeine levels during the day.
You will find that you save lots of money and if you are working in a permanent position or you are a temp with a recruitment agency, it really doesn’t matter that you are not seen as the person who is splashing the cash about. These days anything that helps the environment is generally viewed as being quite cool and saving money is also the new ‘must do’, so don’t think that people will think that you are mean, they will probably just copy you!
